As pastor of this congregation, it is my privilege to welcome you to the True Light Church of God in Christ, where everybody is somebody and Jesus is Lord.  The Bible tells us to "study to show thyself approved unto God..." (II Tim 2:15a) and to "grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (II Pet 3:18). 

True Light is a Spirit-Filled Church performing a heavenly mission in the earthly realm.  The purpose of our ministry here is to glorify God by loving Him with all our hearts and obeying and honoring him with all our resources. We desire to exalt Christ by trusting His death as alone sufficient for all our sins, and by trusting in Him to finish His work in us day by day as we grow more and more like Him. We also desire to exalt God (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) by praying and taking His gospel to the farthest reaches of the earth. And we know we can only grow in all these things by hearing and obeying God's Holy Word.

We want you to be a part of what God is doing here. We’re just ordinary people who are encountering an extraordinary God. You can come just like you are. Our services are engaging and energetic, and I believe that you will find our Biblical teaching relevant to many of the questions you ask about life. We will do our very best to minister to you in any way possible.

Please come and worship with us, and hopefully you, too, will discover God’s love for yourself and know that you have a place here and a vital part of God’s Kingdom.

We were established in 1978 and in the early 1980's True Light moved to it current location at 6380 Pulaski Pike, Huntsville, AL 35810. The structure in which we are worshipping today was built in phases. Phase I was built in the early 1980's with a small membership of dedicated workers on a newly purchased site of 5 acres. Phase II was erected in the middle 1980's and we experienced a "mortgage burning ceremony" in 1999. Phase III, which consists of our Family Life Center is currently operational. True Light has various ministries, which are designated to meet th needs of the total man both within the membership and the community. Some of the ministries are Men's/Women's Fellowship, Youth Programs, Evangelism/Outreach Ministry, Music Ministry, Children's Church, and Jail Ministry.
